Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 medium onion, finely diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/3 cup tomato paste

  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken stock

  • 1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • 1/3 cup heavy cream

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a medium pot over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking for 4-5 minutes until softened and translucent.
